Welcome to the huronia symphony

We invite you to come, hear and live the excitement of high quality,local orchestral music performed by Simcoe County's Own Orchestra.

Now celebrating its 44th season, the HSO is the sole community orchestra in Barrie and all of Simcoe County. 

The orchestra is comprised of fifty-five talented and dedicated volunteer musicians and four professionals who lead and teach the major sections.

In addition to its regular season of five concerts, smaller ensembles from the orchestra participate in a variety of events in the community as well as being available to hire for your special event

The past two seasons, the Huronia Symphony was very fortunate to have had several excellent guest conductors who each brought a unique set of qualities to the podium. However, we are now ready to introduce the new Music Director/Conductor to succeed John Barnum.

Oliver Balaburski comes to us with impressive credentials and is the perfect fit for the Huronia Symphony. We invite you to come out to our concerts and meet Mr. Balaburski and enjoy the impressive concerts we have in store for you.
